shvil.io Terms of Service

1. About the platform

shvil.io is a directory and inquiry platform that connects international travelers with licensed tour guides and registered experience providers in Israel. shvil.io itself is not a tour operator and does not sell, arrange, or guarantee any tour.

2. Our role

We provide the platform. We do not:

  • take bookings on behalf of guides or providers,
  • collect payments from travelers on their behalf,
  • act as an agent, employer, or partner of guides or providers,
  • guarantee the availability, quality, safety, or accuracy of any listing.

    • All agreements — pricing, terms, cancellation, payment for the tour itself — are directly between the traveler and the guide or provider.

    3. Who can list

  • Guides: must hold a valid tour guide license from Israel's Ministry of Tourism.
  • Experience providers: must have appropriate licenses, insurance, and safety credentials for their activity.

    • We may verify credentials at any time. Listings without valid credentials will be removed.

    4. Your responsibilities

    By using shvil.io you agree to:

  • provide accurate information (name, license, contact info, tour details, pricing),
  • honor the terms you publish (pricing, availability, safety, cancellation),
  • comply with all Israeli laws relevant to your work,
  • treat travelers professionally and respectfully,
  • not misrepresent yourself, your credentials, or your services.

    • 5. Content you publish

    You retain ownership of the text, photos, and other content you upload. By publishing to shvil.io you grant us a non-exclusive license to display, cache, resize, and promote your content on the platform and in reasonable marketing (screenshots, previews, social posts). We may remove content that violates these terms or is otherwise inappropriate.

    6. Fees and subscriptions

  • Free profile: creating a guide profile is free.
  • Publishing tours: publishing your own tours requires a paid subscription. Pricing is displayed on the subscription page and is subject to Israeli VAT.
  • Launch offer: during soft launch, an annual subscription includes an additional bonus period (currently "2 for 1"). Details and any end date are shown on the subscription page.
  • Pioneer guides: founding Pioneer guides receive lifetime free access to current core features. New paid products (e.g. bookings, packages) may be announced separately as opt-in extras.
  • Recurring billing: subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You can cancel any time from your guide dashboard.
  • Refunds: governed by our [Refund Policy](/en/refund).
  • Changes: we may change subscription pricing or features. Existing paid subscriptions remain at their original price for the remainder of the pre-paid period. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice.

    • 7. Reviews

    Travelers may submit reviews of guides. Reviews are moderated by shvil.io administrators before appearing publicly. Guides may respond to reviews (feature coming). shvil.io reserves the right to remove reviews that are abusive, fraudulent, or off-topic.

    8. Inquiries and communications

    Inquiries submitted through shvil.io are forwarded to the guide by email. shvil.io may send automated follow-up emails to travelers to check inquiry status and platform quality. Travelers may opt out at any time from a follow-up email.

    9. Termination

    You may stop using shvil.io at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or remove any listing or account that violates these terms, misrepresents credentials, or damages the trust of travelers. Suspended paid subscriptions are refunded on a pro-rata basis where the suspension is not caused by breach of these terms.

    10. Right to change

    We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features, pricing, and policies at any time. Material changes will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

    11. No warranty; limitation of liability

    shvil.io is provided "as is". We make no warranties, express or implied, about the platform's availability, accuracy, or suitability for any purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, shvil.io and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any transaction between a traveler and a guide or provider.

    12. Governing law

    These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any dispute shall be resolved in the competent courts of Israel.
