What is shvil.io?
shvil.io is a directory and inquiry platform that connects international travelers with certified Israeli tour guides. Travelers browse verified guide profiles, read about your tours, and contact you directly. You reply, agree on terms, and lead the tour. No commissions, no booking fees, no middleman.
Who it's for
shvil.io is currently open only to tour guides licensed by Israel's Ministry of Tourism. Because our travelers are international and often first-time visitors to Israel, verified credentials are essential to their trust. We do not accept תו-תקן holders yet — we may add support for them in the future.

Every guide has a profile page: bio, regions, languages, specialties, and tours. Below is a live example — a demo profile in the style of one of Israel's founding figures.
Example tour: scheduled vs suggested
Each guide can list two kinds of tours. Scheduled tours have a fixed date and time — travelers see the exact slot and contact you to join. Suggested tours are itineraries you offer on request — travelers contact you and you arrange a date together. Below is a scheduled tour example: a morning hike through Ein Avdat National Park in the Negev.
How it works
Sign up (free) and complete your guide profile through a short guided walkthrough — bio, regions, languages, license number, photos.
Publish your tours (optional, paid subscription — see pricing). Set fixed-date scheduled tours or on-request suggested tours.
Travelers reach you directly through your profile or tour listings. You reply, agree on price and terms, and lead the tour. Payment is directly between you.
