Description
The Bahá’í Gardens rise in terraces from Haifa’s German Colony toward the top of Mount Carmel. Their formal design, symmetry, and views over Haifa Bay make them one of the country’s most recognisable landmarks. A visit introduces the Bahá’í faith, the history of Haifa and Acre, and the idea of the gardens as a place of beauty, devotion, and careful stewardship. The site works especially well as part of a wider Haifa day that includes the German Colony, Wadi Nisnas, Mount Carmel, or Acre. The story of the gardens is a spiritual one: a global faith expressing its ideals of unity, beauty, discipline, and service through a landscape built above a busy and diverse port city.
