The Golan Heights combines open basalt landscapes, volcanic cones, waterfalls, vineyards, kibbutzim, and views across the Sea of Galilee and toward Syria. A private day can include waterfalls, short walks, local food, wineries, Gamla, Mount Bental, and viewpoints over the border. The route can focus on nature, the 1967 war, agriculture, wine, geology, or the history of the region’s different communities. The Golan’s story is written in layers of lava and politics. Its high ground explains both the region’s agricultural richness and why it has played such an important role in the modern history of Israel and Syria.
