Description
Mount Arbel rises sharply above the Sea of Galilee, with wide views across the water, the Golan Heights, and the hills of the Lower Galilee. The setting alone makes it one of northern Israel’s most rewarding viewpoints. A visit can include a walk along the rim, a descent toward the caves in the cliff, and stories of the people who lived, hid, and fought in this dramatic landscape. The route can be gentle or more active, depending on the group. The story of Mount Arbel is written in the land itself: the lake below, the roads crossing the valleys, and the cliffs above all explain why this small part of the Galilee has drawn communities, armies, pilgrims, and teachers for centuries.
